Forklift - Industrial & Rough Terrain
Since January 1999, all forklift operators must be trained and tested according to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 and ANSI B56.1. This class is offered to allow operators to complete both forklift classroom training sessions in one day. This class consists of 4 hours of classroom instruction for industrial forklifts and 4 hours classroom instruction for rough-terrain forklifts. Written exams will follow each class. Upon successfully completing these classes, the operator must schedule a time at the training center to practice and take the practical tests, thus completing the certifications. Minimum of 5 individuals needed to hold this class.
NOTE: Operators must refresh their forklift certification every 3 years. Recertification consists of attending the classroom session and successfully passing the written exams.
