Pile Driving
This 40-hour class is designed to provide lattice boom, friction-type crane operators with the fundamentals required to drive piling. A diesel hammer, air hammer and vibratory hammer will be used for instruction. "H" pile and sheeting pile will be driven and extracted. There will also be some classroom instruction on terms, theory and regulations. Due to the inherent dangers of pile driving, those interested will be required to pass a simple practical pre-test on a lattice boom, friction-type crane.
