Built in 1976 and located on over 100 acres in Montgomery County, the Miamisburg Training Center proudly lays claim to being the first all-weather training building in the United States. At 16,000 sq. ft., up to six pieces of equipment can operate rain or shine. The main building has two classrooms complete with audio-visual equipment and offices for staff and instructors. When the demand calls for it, a third field classroom is available. Attached to the main building is a 4200-sq.-ft. shop for service and repair of the equipment fleet. Like the other training centers, the outside areas include facilities for industrial and RT forklift practical tests; there are cranes permanently set up for CCO practical exams. Several large areas are reserved for training in the use of dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, scrapers, and graders.
